- Can I get involved in writing for NEW CREATION?
Most definitely! NEW CREATION is built around you, the reader, getting involved and resourcing everyone else. Everybody is welcome to write for us, however the admins will be in control and review each article before it is accepted. Once it is accepted, it’ll appear on the home page for everyone to see!
If you fancy getting involved, follow the steps below:
Option A: Send your post (with attached pictures, or links to music/films) via e-mail to: mypost@newcreationetwork.co.uk
Option B: Post it yourself as shown below
- REGISTER
The first thing you’ll need to do is REGISTER, which you can do by clicking here. All you need to enter is a username and email address, and you’ll get sent a password.
- VALIDATE
Head to your email and you should find one containing your username and a randomly generated password which can be changed later on. Follow the link in the email to login
- LOGIN
After clicking the link, you’ll arrive at this page. Login with your username and randomly generated password. This will take you to the admin panel.
From here, you can change your password from under the PROFILE tab, or head to POSTS to start writing
- WRITE
What you see above is the writing panel, which you should quite quickly get familiar with.
The main panel here is for the header [top box] and content of your post [bottom box]. The content panel has two views, Visual and HTML. Most people will use visual, but if you are more savvy, try your hand at HTML
This panel is to the right of where you would do your writing. The top controls are for previewing and saving your article. Your draft will be saved on the site for you to come back and keep editing to your hearts content before you post it. The middle one is a tag box, which you can put words that describe your article. The bottom controls are for deciding on categories for your article, however it’s likely that we will just decide this.
- WAIT
Then that’s it! You just have to wait for us admins to read through it and decide if we like the article or not. If we do, it should appear on the homepage in a few days. If not, you can expect an e-mail from one of us explaining how to improve.
- How come something I wrote hasn’t come up?
Everything on NEW CREATION is under moderation before it goes live on the site.
If something you’ve posted or commented on doesn’t appear in a short number of days it is probably because we’ve decided that it was either irrelevant, inappropriate or unacceptable to display on the site.
NEW CREATION exists to develop dialogue around creativity primarily from Christians. In order to facilitate freedom for this audience we don’t want to sidetrack into ceaseless theological debates that require Christians to create or think in a preferred way. Everybody is made perfect in Christ but we are all still being perfected until we ‘ascend into glory’, therefore we don’t want this to become another ‘who’s the holiest argument’; we’re all on a journey here. This space isn’t for the debates, we don’t want something with such great potential to be torn apart for the sake of who is in the right. This space is to think about, share, inspire, resource and network the creativity of Christians from a wide variety of cultures and journeys. We hope you can see this too.
